The world in motion
JGJ completed the very first Dutch study in the field of Computer Technology at the time.
A study that dealt with both hardware and software, but where JGJ soon gave preference to software.
JGJ has programmed in all kinds of computer languages. In the beginning these were mainly Fortran, Algol and Pascal,
but later they became mainly C-based languages such as C, C+, C++ and Java.
In the beginning it was only technically possible to divide programs into functions and procedures.
Later, object-oriented languages emerged and made programming easier.
Consultancy and project management

Over time, JGJ grew into the role of consultant and was frequently involved in advising on new projects as well as major changes.
These types of advisory roles often automatically transitioned into the lead in the actual implementation of these projects.
Where in the past projects were mainly carried out as a kind of step-by-step approach (also called 'waterfall' method),
later projects had to be carried out in a much more flexible way.
New methodologies such as Agile with Scrum became increasingly standard.
