When the internet emerged, JGJ immediately saw that this had a golden future.
Unfortunately, the European banks blocked this for a long time and people could only order online by completing a simple order form on a website.
In 1997, JGJ and some colleagues set out to find a financial way to make online payments with credit cards possible.
After many wanderings, they ended up at a Scottish bank, which was willing to process a run of payments received with credit cards once a day at night.
This made JGJ one of the founders of the first real E-commerce websites on the European mainland.
At the beginning of this century, JGJ took a position at the American office supplies company Office Depot (best known in Europe for their Viking brand).
This large international company was then within the Top 3 of companies in the USA (behind Amazon and Ebay) in terms of online sales.
In 2002, JGJ managed to ensure that 25% of the Dutch monthly turnover was earned online.
Something that was not yet achieved anywhere within the business group at that time.
When Google also started 'AdWords' in Europe at the beginning of this century, JGJ was the first to immediately react.
Because Office Depot did not immediately see the benefit of this, JGJ set up the first AdWords privately and paid for it himself.
When this immediately became very successful, the company was happy to adopt it.
A few years later, in the Benelux alone, they spent tens of thousands of euros on AdWords every month, which was also profitable.
After that, JGJ tried again with online game sales. Unfortunately, his partner left him after about 2 years.
At that time, JGJ stopped selling online himself, but then jumped into the growing market for web shops and started selling them as a service.
A service that quickly expanded with many websites and web applications.
